Take a bunch of people who love cooking, stir in some added passion, and add a big spoonful of enthusiasm. That’s just the start of the recipe for making another wonderful Casalinga occasion happen.
It could be the years of experience we’ve accumulated, and knowing what makes people happy. It could be the fresh ingredients we use, or the way we take authentic Italian recipes and give them a little tweak. Or is it the fact that we can accommodate groups from ten to 250 people, and that we’re fully equipped for every kind of event?
There are loads of factors that go into making Casalinga such a wonderful place to hold your next event, whether it’s for family, friends or clients. One thing we can promise you: this may be your first Casalinga event, but it won’t be your last. The great tastes, friendly service, excellent wine list and brilliant atmosphere all mean that you’ll want to come back, and soon.
Of course, we won’t tell a soul if you invent a birthday or anniversary just to give yourself an excuse to for more time at Casalinga. We’d do the same if we weren’t already here all the time. Large or small, we’ve done them all – and we can’t wait to make your event happen too!

Venue hire includes full standard set-up of tables, chairs, white linen, crockery, silverware and glassware.
Casalinga has five venues of differing sizes, able to accommodate events ranging in size from 15 to 200 people.
The Piazza can accommodate up to a maximum of 100 adults. The minimum attendance is 80 adults.
The Main Dining Room can accommodate from a minimum of 60 to a maximum of 72 adults.
These two areas can be combined for larger events to accommodate from 120 to 180 adults.
The Small Dining Room is ideal for medium-sized events and can accommodate between 20 and 50 adults.
The underground Wine Cellar is ideal for more intimate gatherings, especially in the warmer months. Between 16 and 22 people can be accommodated.
The lounge can accommodate from 2 to 30 people.
Please help us respect our neighbours and staff by keeping to our cut-off times. Feel free to linger over lunch until 15h30. At night, dinner and music in the dining rooms works on the Cinderella rule: only until midnight. And we ask that the last guests leave by half an hour after that.

A day without wine is like a day without sunshine… We’re not sure who said that first, but we think there’s a good chance it was an Italian chef! Wine and food go together like love and marriage – they were just made for each other, and the right glass (or two) of wine is the perfect accompaniment to each of the dishes we serve. We’re always happy to make wine pairing recommendations to complete your dining experience, event or celebration so you can come to Casalinga with grape expectations and we’ll exceed them!
Every recipe comes with notes on quantities, herbs, spices – all the little details that make the ordinary, extraordinary. The fairy dust on the cake, if you like. It’s the same with our special events – there’s so much we can offer you to help make your Casalinga occasion a day or night to remember.
We love to experiment in our kitchens, but we also know that there are some golden rules to live and cook by. And trust us, when an Italian mama says no, she means it!
